The PM’s strategy appears to be to keep ‘no deal’ alive as a threat so as to be able to negotiate further with the EU, which seems unlikely since the negotiation has closed.
Unfortunately for Mrs May, she held back her negotiations from Parliament and is now subject to Parliament agreeing to what she has agreed to. This is proving difficult, as shown by her historic loss by 230 votes.
Efforts to defeat ‘No Deal’ seem doomed to fail. As does a “no deal” itself, so widely discredited that is almost as unpopular as this wreakage of a Government.
